LED membrane switch

An LED membrane switch integrates surfacemount or throughhole LEDs directly into the membrane switch construction, providing clear, energyefficient backlighting for keys and indicators. Unlike standard membrane switches, LEDilluminated versions enhance visibility in lowlight environments, improve user experience, and allow dynamic status feedback (e.g., color change upon activation). The LEDs can be placed under individual keys, behind graphic icons, or along the panel perimeter. They operate at low voltage and draw minimal current, making them ideal for batterypowered devices. The switch remains thin and flexible, with a sealed construction that resists dust and moisture (IP54 to IP67). Custom options include multiple LED colors, variable brightness, and independent circuit control. Common applications include medical equipment, industrial control panels, automotive interiors, aerospace cockpits, and gaming devices where reliable, illuminated operation is essential.
