A silicone membrane switch combines a soft, durable silicone rubber keypad with a printed membrane circuit layer, offering superior environmental sealing and excellent tactile feel. Unlike allplastic membrane switches, the silicone top layer provides a natural, responsive snap (integral silicone domes) that feels comfortable under finger and operates silently. It is inherently resistant to extreme temperatures (-40°C to +150°C), UV radiation, moisture, chemicals, and impact. The silicone keys can be molded into complex shapes, curved surfaces, or large panels without delamination. The underlying circuit uses silver/carbon printed on PET. Custom options include laseretched or padprinted legends, colored keys, conductive carbon pills for switching, and EMI/RFI shielding. Ideal for medical devices, industrial controls, automotive interiors, kitchen appliances, and outdoor equipment where ruggedness, sealing (IP67/IP68), and soft tactile response are critical.
