A waterproof membrane switch is specifically engineered to resist liquid ingress, making it ideal for harsh, wet, or washdown environments. Unlike standard switches, it features fully sealed layers with edge sealing, gasketing, or potting to achieve IP67 or IP68 protection ratings. The graphic overlay is bonded tightly to the circuit layer, preventing moisture from reaching conductive traces. Optional venting membranes equalize pressure while blocking water. These switches withstand high pressure hose cleaning, temporary submersion, and condensation. They maintain reliable operation in medical, marine, food processing, and outdoor applications. Available with tactile or non tactile feedback, backlighting, and custom legends. The sealed design also resists dust, chemicals, and UV exposure.
